GUIDED BUS TOUR:
You will visit the Monastery of Panagia Chozoviotissa, a 1000-year-old Monastery that is built 300 m above sea levels, on the cliffs overlooking impressive views of the island. Home to the miraculous icon of the same name, it is one of the most remarkable and most visited monastery’s in Greece. Next you will visit Agia Anna (Big Blue), the tiny beach is pebbled and the waters deep and clear, ideal for snorkeling and diving activities. You will also visit Chora, the picturesque capital of the island. You will walk on the beautiful cobbled stone alleyways, do some shopping from the local boutiques, and enjoy a delicious lunch of your choice (not included) at one of the tavernas.
GUIDED HIKING TOUR:
Discover the natural beauty of Amorgos by foot. The guided hiking tours allow you to learn more about the cultural and historical aspects of each place you will see, introduced by an experienced, local tour guide. Follow the path through old villages with views combining sea, mountain and local vegetation.
PRIVATE YACHT TOUR:
The departure will be from Aegialis Hotel and you will be taken with a mini bus to the dock of Agios Pavlos where the yacht awaits (approx. 7 km away). From there, the Captain and the crew will welcome you on board. The yacht is 12 meters long, it has a private room and a bathroom. On the front part of the boat you will find comfortable sunbeds and on the stern the dinning area where you can enjoy your lunch/dinner.In this activity you will visit hidden picturesque places of the island that can only be accessed by boat. Explore the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean Sea and dive in for a snorkelling activity, or you can use the paddle board to get a more energizing experience or simply just enjoy some time on the luxurius yacht somewhere in the middle of the peaceful sea.
THE AMORGIAN HOUSE & DISTILLERY
Experience the True Greek Hospitality in a Traditional Amorgian household of the 1800’s. Located in the beautiful villlage of Tholaria, the “Paraskevo’s” house, is one of the oldest houses in the village. Built in a Traditional Cycladic style, with Whitewashed walls and blue window shields and doors, the “Paraskevo’s” residence is a must see for all visitors of the island. You and your group will be taken to Tholaria Village, located about 5km away up in the mountains. The journey in the village is a beautiful walk through the quaint cobblestone streets, passing traditional tavernas, friendly locals and surrounded by magenta Boungavillea flowers
AUTHENTIC GREEK COOKING CLASSES:
This cooking class takes place at the Ambrosia Gallery Restaurant at Aegialis hotel & spa and is led by the resident chef. You will be introduced to the most traditional types of Greek dishes and will learn how to make these, step by step, from start to finish. The vegetables and herbs used for these recipes come from our organic gardens. After the preparation of the dishes, the participants can enjoy their lunch, indulging in the pure deliciousness of the Greek cuisine.
WINE TASTING:
Held at the Ambrosia restaurant, enjoy a theoretical journey through the most distinct wines of the Cycladic regions and from prestigious old wineries in Greece. A local expert will introduce to you the history and flavor nuances of 6 different wine labels, plus traditional aperitifs such as the Greek favourites Raki and Ouzo.
GREEK DANCE LESSONS
Dance holds a special place in the tradition of the island. Learn how to dance Greek style and celebrate the tradition.

What to Expect
Retreat: Spend 7 days and 6 nights in the unspoiled Greek island of Amorgos, accessible only by ferry. Each day includes 1-2 yoga practices, ample time for rest, relaxation, or adventure.
Accommodations: Choose from single or double occupancy accommodations in a Superior room (all with views of the Aegean Sea). Upgraded rooms available; please contact us for more information.
Sustenance: Included is a daily breakfast buffet and dinner at the award winning restaurant, Ambrosia, located within Aegialis Hotel & Spa. Lunch, and other food/drinks are available for purchase throughout the stay.
Travel: Fly into Athens, Santorini, or Mykonos. From your decided arrival city, take a ferry to Amorgos. Alternatively, you can fly into Athens, take a ferry to a neighboring island, and then journey from there. Please note that some ferries make multiple stops and the journey will be quite long (6-8 hrs from Athens to Amorgos). If you choose to travel from Santorini, Mykonos, Naxos or another island, the ferry ride will be shorter (1-3 hours). Once in Amorgos transportation from the port to the hotel is included and will be arranged for you. It is recommended that you account for the length of travel and spend an extra night or two before/after the retreat in the Greek city of your choice. Purchasing travel insurance is highly recommended to protect your investment. CFAR (cancel for any reason) insurance covers the most but must be purchased close to when you place your first deposit.

You will be required to sign a liability waiver and terms & conditions once your deposit is received. Please expect this to be emailed to you via DocuSign within a week or two of placing your deposit. The deposit and signed document are both required to secure your reservation.

You may also email us to let us know you are interested in being paired with an available roommate. Please note that if you do not have a designated roommate and we cannot find you one, you will be responsible for the room at the single occupancy rate.
