When you sign up for a retreat via down payment or full payment, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.

1. Retreat Pricing + Itinerary Changes

All prices are per person and vary depending on a variety of cost factors.  Prices include retreat costs only.  Please see website for list of inclusions for each individual retreat.  Cost does not include airfare to and from the retreat.  While every effort is made to keep to all published itineraries, we reserve the right to make changes due to extreme circumstances. In some cases, weather conditions or “acts of god” (e.g. pandemic) can necessitate an alteration in the event itinerary, such as the included excursions and activities and this does not constitute a reason for refund. No refund for unused services will be considered. 

2. Deposit & Payment Terms
Reserve your spot with a non-refundable deposit per person (deposit amount is indicated on each individual retreat page). Final balances are due as indicated on website.  Payment plans are available and must be set up directly with Surya Yoga.  There is a $100 upcharge to the total retreat pricing for all payment plans. If you sign up for the retreat after the final payment due date, then the entire retreat payment is due to secure your spot.

3. Retreat Payment
Payment can be made by credit card via payment link or cash/credit at the studio. If full payment is not received by due date, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation and fill your spot. We will make every effort to avoid this situation by contacting you prior to and on the day the balance is due.

4. Cancellation & Transfer Policy
If you wish to cancel your retreat you must notify Surya Yoga in writing by emailing info@suryayogastudio.com. You may cancel your retreat up until the date noted on the individual retreat page.  Any deposits made up until that point can be transferred to another Surya Yoga retreat within two years of cancellation date.  After the cancellation deadline for each individual retreat there are no refunds, partial credits, or transfers of funds.  You may transfer your retreat reservation to someone else up to one month before the retreat start date.  This must be done in writing. Exceptions to our cancellation policy cannot be made for ANY reason, including weather, terrorism, civil unrest, COVID-19, health changes, personal emergencies or otherwise. There is no refund for arriving late or leaving a trip early. For this reason we highly recommend purchasing Travel Insurance.  CFAR (cancel for any reason) coverage is the widest coverage and typically must be purchased within a set number of days after initial deposit.

5. Retreat Cancellations
Surya Yoga reserves the right to make any changes deemed necessary; including, but not limited to: staffing assignments, advertised excursions, arranged transportation, advertised meals, etc. In the rare case and extreme case of a Surya Yoga Retreat cancellation, Surya Yoga will offer a transfer to another Surya Yoga retreat or a full refund of your payment to Surya Yoga. Surya Yoga is not responsible for any expenses or damages incurred as a result of retreat cancellation including preparation costs, airline tickets, travel documents or other expenses. Surya Yoga reserves the right to cancel any retreat prior to departure in the unlikely event that there are too few people booked, in which case you will be given a full refund of any and all payments made to Surya Yoga. You will not be entitled to claim any additional amounts or seek any compensation for any injury, loss, expenses or damages (either direct or consequential) or for any loss of time or inconvenience which may result from such cancellation (including but not limited to visa, passport and vaccination charges, or departure, gear purchases, airport and airline taxes).

6. Trip Insurance
It is highly recommended that guests purchase individual trip insurance for international retreats. We HIGHLY recommend purchasing a cancel for any reason (CFAR) trip insurance as it is the most comprehensive coverage you can purchase. Please note Surya Yoga is NOT responsible for denied claims or insufficient coverage as we are NOT a trip insurance agency. Cancel for Any Reason coverage is the only policy with the widest “net” to protect your investment. Surya Yoga will not be held responsible for any delay, additional expense or inconvenience that may be caused directly or indirectly by events outside of our control (ie: late arrival/departure of flights, civil disturbance, fire, flood, cyclones, severe weather, acts of God, and acts of government, machinery or equipment failure, or cancellations for any reason.) No refunds will be given for “no shows” or days not used resulting from the above aforementioned. 

7. Travel Documents and Immunizations
It is the responsibility of each traveler to obtain all required travel documents including passports and Visas. Information regarding necessary documentation is provided as necessary or you can contact us for more detailed information. It is your responsibility to purchase correct immunizations. Please contact your nearest travel clinic for the latest requirements.

8. Roommate Assignments
Retreat rates are per person. Double, triple, quad, bunk or otherwise advertised shared rooms require shared occupancy for the specified room rate. If you book a shared room without a specified roommate(s), we will do our very best to match you with your desired room type and price point. In the event we can’t find you a roommate, you will be responsible for the room at the single occupancy rate.

9. Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge that I have voluntarily enrolled to participate in Surya Yoga retreats. In consideration of Surya Yoga allowing me to participate in a Surya Yoga Retreat, I agree to this release of claims, waiver of liability and assumption of risks. On behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, successors, administrators, and any other person who may have an interest at common law or by operation of statute, I hereby waive any and all claims I or such parties may have now or in the future. I release from liability Surya Yoga and any employees, guides, agents or representatives (“the releases”) for any personal injury, death, property damage or loss or any nature suffered by me as a result of participation in any activity on the retreat. I release from liability Surya Yoga for any cause whatsoever including those arising out of, or in any way connected to or occasioned by the negligence of the releases.

​10.  Release and Waiver of Liability

I understand that I will be required to sign a waiver of liability and media usage release prior to participating in the retreat.
